It’s here. Fall fell.
Yikes! My custom tumblr theme is LIVE in the theme garden! It’s at the top of the recent themes page and already has 50 blogs using it. This is so exciting!
Please let me know if you have any suggestions as to how I can improve it. I have several additions planned, but what I get to first will probably be dictated by what people request.

I just bought this program “Tune Up” that takes the first few seconds of every song in your iTunes library and compares it to its online database in order to make sure all your songs have the right tags on them. Much of my iTunes meta-data was lost when I accidentally erased an external hard drive a few months ago and I’ve been using the program to repair it.
To my surprise Cho Young and the Davenports, my old band from college, is listed in the Tune Up database!

Something terrifying is going on at the USAA call center
This is what happens when you call USAA at midnight because you’re locked out of your account. Okay:
A) I don’t know how to say that.
B) Please hold while I change my pants, crap them a second and third time, then cry in the shower.
C) I saw District 9. This does not end well.
True or False? Google makes anything true.
There’s a video game in Japan where the actions are controlled by blinking at the screen. Developed by Cho Young, the game involves solving several complex pattern puzzles (think Tetris) by blinking at appropriate moments.
This is a total lie.
It’s false.
I just made this up.
Now lets Google it and see if it’s true.
It turns out, only kinda.

There is a religious group in America that believes that pancakes are evil.
Does Google agree?
Well… this post wonders how much pancakes are really doing to help the cause of the church,
“Such pancake piety feels good, but it is questionable whether it is “transforming the world” or providing an overly healthy witness to the will of God in Jesus Christ.”
But overall, pancakes and a Christian God are actually doing all kinds of great stuff together, including collaborating to keep us from growing old. (if God = Pat Robertson)
When a man’s pancakes please the Lord, that man better keep making those pancakes, or the Lord will drop boulders on the man and his harem.

It features seven mini illustrations I did for the design, notes, and the ability to customize just about all of the colors in the theme.
Creating a custom theme for tumblr is something that I’ve wanted to do since I joined the service in May of 08, and one of the primary reasons I spent so much of this last year learning to write code.
